Backstage: Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns
Backstage, Dean Ambrose cuts a promo about not having any friends growing up, but how he has a friend now. With that said, in walks Roman Reigns. The two talk about how as real friends they would do anything for each other. They say Luke Harper would do the same for Bray Wyatt, but noted the fact that Wyatt wouldn’t do the same for Harper. We head back to commercial.
Luke Harper vs. Dean Ambrose
We head back inside the arena where it’s time to return to the ring for our next match of the evening. Out first, to a huge pop from the fans in Washington, is “The Lunatic Fringe,” Dean Ambrose. During his ring entrance, we head to a commercial break.
When we return from the commercial, we see Roman Reigns has made his way through the crowd. Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper end up coming out shortly thereafter. We’ve got a loaded ringside area for what it supposed to be a one-on-one contest.
Wyatt bullies Byron Saxton out of his chair so he has somewhere to sit. Meanwhile, the action between Ambrose and Harper is getting intense. The action spills out to the floor, where Ambrose hits a flying elbow to a grounded Harper. On that note, we head to a mid-match commercial break.
We’re back from commercial and the first thing we see is Harper hitting a big slam on Ambrose for a close near fall pin attempt. The fans start chanting something about not being able to see the action due to Wyatt blocking their view at ringside.
Finally, all hell breaks loose as all four guys get involved. When the smoke clears and the dust settles, Ambrose is crotched on the top rope and falls right into a discus clothesline from Harper, his finishing move, for the 1-2-3. After the match we head back to a break.
Winner: Luke Harper
MizTV With Daniel Bryan, Stephen Amell & Big Show
After we return from the break, it’s time for our MizTV segment with — you guessed it — The Miz. Miz welcomes us to his show and then points out actor Stephen Amell, who is sitting in the front row. Miz dresses down Amell a bit before introducing his guest this evening, Daniel Bryan.
The fans go absolutely ballistic for their hometown boy Bryan, who informs us that no matter what, he would never miss an episode of RAW in his hometown. He does some cheap-pop type stuff and then Miz and Bryan talk about who the better performer on Tough Enough is.
Finally, Big Show’s music hits and out he comes to join the talk segment. Big Show is tired of the crap that comes out of Miz’s mouth. He calls him a cross-dressing Jedi manure spreader. Show asks if Miz honestly thinks he has a chance at winning the title. Show goes to address Bryan and a “please retire” chant starts. Show tells the crowd to find someone that can retire him. The music hits and out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryback making his return. Ryback gets a pop as he makes his way to the ring. Miz exits as does Bryan. Fans chant “feed me more” as Show and Ryback stare each other down.
Bryan grabs Miz and rolls him back in the ring, right in between Ryback and Show. A “yes!” chant starts as Miz sands up and pleads with them. Show rams them both in the corner and tosses Mi across the ring. Show splashes Miz in the corner Ryback spears Show into Miz and hits a big clothesline. Bryan comes back in as another “feed me more” chant starts. Now a “yes!” chant starts as they wait for Miz to get up.
Ryback hits him with a Meathook Clothesline that knocks Miz right out of his shoes. Bryan hands over the I-C title to Ryback and the two celebrate to end the segment.
