With the recent news that the NXT brand is moving to the USA Network, live every Wednesday night in a new two-hour spot, one of the biggest concerns from fans has been to what extent Vince McMahon and other high-ranking WWE officials will be involved with the show.
As first reported by Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, multiple sources have indicated that “the current plan is for NXT to remain as the same show itβs been for years”, and that fans should not be concerned with any drastic changes being made, at least for now.
Additionally, multiple sources including the Wrestling Observer Newsletter have reported that the word going around is that Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn, WWE’s long-running Executive Vice President of Television Production, will be hands-off with NXT despite it moving to cable television in September.
Paul Levesque (aka Triple H) will remain on in charge of the brand going forward. Of course, with the pressure on to draw ratings on Wednesday night, if those numbers don’t turn out as expected or begin to drop drastically at any point, or just because McMahon is known to change his mind on things somewhat erratically if he doesn’t like how they’re going, plans could change at any time.
