VIDEO: AEW is heading to Wembley Stadium for All In

Dave Meltzer talked about AEW attempting to fill up Wembley Stadium on Wrestling Observer Radio.

Meltzer on Tuesday discussed the news of AEW heading to the stadium in August for the second-ever All In event. He pointed out that if 90,000 people do end up going to All In, it could break the all-time attendance record set by WWE back at WrestleMania 32 in 2016.

“If they have a stage, could they? I don’t know. I don’t really expect them to get anywhere near that kind of number…it’s quite the ballsy move,” Meltzer said.

Meltzer said that while WWE is ahead of AEW in every metric in the UK aside from ratings, AEW could do a successful number if they do a loaded-up show as it would be their first time running a show in the country.

“They’ve never done the super loaded up show they have the ability to do,” Meltzer said. “They’ve done loaded pay-per-view shows, but never in a market like London, which has a really great shot…those people will know there’s a big show.”

“If it’s not the biggest and their best lineup in history, it may be tough,” Meltzer later added.
