It appears as though the Wild Card Rule may not be a factor for the red brand TV show in San Jose, California on Monday night.
As noted, WWE is expected to keep tomorrow’s non-televised live event for the blue brand in Reno, Nevada on the books. The show features Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton Kofi Kingston, Bayley and others.
As a result, the Wild Card Rule might not be much of a factor on Monday night.
Dave Meltzer noted during the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that because of the schedule this week, it appears that we may not see the Wild Card Rule play a factor.
“I don’t know if there’s gonna be no Wild Card because usually by now they’ve canceled that show,” said Meltzer during Sunday morning’s show. “They’ve canceled next Monday’s show. I don’t know what this all means, but for whatever reason everyone expected this Monday’s show would get canceled, because it has been every week, but this week it hasn’t been. All I know is that it is still on as of this morning.”
