Executive-produced by Star Wars Rebels creator Dave Filoni, this anime-inspired series debuted on Disney Channel in October 2018, and centers around Kazuda Xiono, a young pilot recruited by the Resistance and tasked with a top-secret mission to spy on the growing threat of the First Order. Set before the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the show also features BB-8, Poe Dameron and Captain Phasma, with Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie reprising their big screen roles.
Game of Thrones executive producers and showrunners D. B. Weiss and David Benioff have been hired to write and produce a new series of Star Wars films.
With Ewan McGregor stating that he'd be totally onboard for another lightsaber stab at Obi-Wan Kenobi, it was reported in summer of 2017 that an Obi-Wan standalone was, indeed, in development. An unconfirmed report said that Stephen Daldry (The Hours, The Reader) would direct the film with a production start in the spring of 2019, but McGregor eventually denied that any such project was in development. In the wake of Solo: A Star Wars Story's lukewarm reception, Lucasfilm reportedly pumped the breaks on some standalone films, and Obi-Wan might've be one of those. The film was rumored to be a direct prequel to A New Hope, set on Tatooine and following Obi-Wan when he is living in exile. Liam Neeson has even said that he'd return to the franchise as Qui-Gon Jin if needed. Most recently, rumors have pegged this project as now being developed for TV, but for now that's all we have — rumors. Well, rumors and the Force.”,”height”:534,”width”:950,”url”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/02/08/https-blueprint-api-productions3amazonawscom-uploads-card-image-567011-0609451f-ae4b-4d24-a31a-52a920490b2b-1518105292193.jpg”,”styleUrl”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/02/08/https-blueprint-api-productions3amazonawscom-uploads-card-image-567011-0609451f-ae4b-4d24-a31a-52a920490b2b-1518105292193_{size}.jpg”,”credit”:””,”objectRelationName”:””,”objectRelationUrl”:””,”albumName”:”Every Upcoming Star Wars Movie”,”relativePosition”:”09″,”albumTotalCount”:10},{“caption”:”OTHER RUMORED MOVIES

Back when Lucasfilm was developing anthology ideas there were two hot potential films. One became Solo: A Star Wars Story and the other was a Boba Fett film that, as of yet, hasn't gotten off the ground. It's rumored that this was the movie Fantastic Four's Josh Trank was hired to helm, but after he was booted from the project nothing was confirmed. More recently, Logan director James Mangold was reportedly developing the Boba Fett film. But given the lackluster reception Solo received and the announcement of the streaming series The Mandalorian, it should come as little surprise that the Boba Fett movie has been shelved.

And yet, Lucasfilm has said there are several unannounced films in development. What could they be? Past rumors have included Guillermo del Toro approaching Lucasfilm with an idea for a Jabba the Hut anthology film and… well, we don't know much more than that. And there's also been chatter about a Yoda standalone (both Samuel L. Jackson and Ian McDiarmid have expressed interest in reprising their Jedi/Sith roles while fans are also clamoring for the Ahsoka Tano character to make her live-action debut). Time will tell if any of these pan out, however.”,”height”:720,”width”:1280,”url”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/02/08/boba-fett-star-wars-1280jpg-e94733-1280w-1518106422377.jpg”,”styleUrl”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/02/08/boba-fett-star-wars-1280jpg-e94733-1280w-1518106422377_{size}.jpg”,”credit”:””,”objectRelationName”:””,”objectRelationUrl”:””,”albumName”:”Every Upcoming Star Wars Movie”,”relativePosition”:10,”albumTotalCount”:10}]’
