LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Osage (Kaiser, Mo.) High School’s Kerrigan Gamm knocked in over half her team’s runs to garner MaxPreps/NFCA National High School Player of the Week honors for games played Aug. 29-Sept. 4.
In just two games, Gamm homered three times, recorded 13 RBI and slugged 2.125 in victories over Tuscumbia (13-0) and Versailles (12-2). She opened the week with a 3-for-4 outing, a long ball and six RBI against Tuscumbia. The sophomore followed with a season-high seven RBI and two home runs, along with a double and four hits versus Versailles. In addition to her monstrous offensive output, Gamm tossed nine shutout innings and picked up a win with a six-inning, two-hit shutout against Tuscumbia (7 K, 0 BB).
MaxPreps.com, the official high school statistical provider of the NFCA, provides all statistics for the NFCA High School Player of the Week award. To nominate a player for the award, the coach must enter his or her athlete’s game stats into MaxPreps.com by Sunday evening to be eligible for that week’s award.
The MaxPreps/NFCA High School Players of the Week are announced on NFCA.org every Monday during the fall season, with one representative chosen from the participating regions. During the spring campaign, a player from each of five separate high school regions is selected.
