The tournament had one surprise though the outsider AO Kifisias made it to the finals surprising everyone. AO Kifisias was coming in Vrahati, Korinthios after a long travel from Siros island where they played for the Greek cup last Wednesday (disqualified by Finikas), plus they didn’t have 3 of their players due of injury (Bellos, Karipidis, Papadopoulos), and their second setter had the flu.

Beside all that difficulties AO Kifisias disqualified Ethnikos Alexandroupolis by 3-1 and took the ticket to the final. Olympiacos played against PAOK that had a very bad day and couldn’t really oppose to the leading team of the Championship, thus Olympiacos played against AO Kifisias for the trophy. The Second League Cup was dedicated to the memory of Nikolaos Samaras the leading volleyball player that pass away early in January.

Olympiacos and Kifisia played a good game and everybody really enjoyed it. Olympiacos won by 3-0 and Kifisia fought really hard and lost the second set by simple mistakes, at the third set Olympiacos was much better and Kifisia seemed tired.

MVP was Boyan Yordanov

Best Attacker Igor de Sousa (Kifisia)

Best Setter Dimitris Nikolakis (Kifisia)

Best libero Giorgos Stefanou (Olympiacos)
