Note on Impact Creative, Hardy Teases Old Song, WCW Show Revived?

Impact Wrestling is currently in the midst of shift behind the scenes as more talent like Tessa Blanchard and Su Yung enter the promotion, while another influx of Lucha Underground stars are also appearing on television as well. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, creative has changed around a bit as well since Sonjay Dutt, Scott D’Amore, Don Callis, and Jimmy Jacobs are working on the creative team. It was also noted that Tommy Dreamer, Abyss, and Konnan are serving as the match producers for the show. Finally, it was also reported that the promotion is planning to start taping shows more frequently. The company currently tapes several shows in a row over the course of a week that sometimes take months to air on TV.
Jeff Hardy is still an immensely popular figure in WWE. After returning from an injury last month, Hardy has been moved over to Smackdown and has won the United States Championship. It looks like Hardy will be given the chance to start a completely new chapter in his wrestling career, but Hardy has now teased that a familiar song could be returning very soon. Hardy recently posted a message on his Instagram account which seemed to indicate that the “No More Words” entrance theme that he used for his previous singles run in WWE could be coming back very soon. As of right now, Hardy is still using the entrance theme that he traditionally uses when he teams up with his brother Matt.

There once was a time when WWE hid from embracing ideas that were created by WCW, but that stance has changed somewhat over the past year. The company resurrected that Starrcade name for a live event in North Carolina last year, before they later brought back the WarGames match concept for an NXT Takeover show in Houston, Texas last fall. PWInsider has just reported that WWE has filed a trademark for “The Great American Bash.” The pay-per-view had been used by Jim Crockett Promotions before it was later used in WCW after Crockett’s promotion was bought out by Turner broadcasting. It certainly seems possible that the Great American Bash could be coming back very soon.
