As you may have heard, former UFC icon Ronda Rousey has signed a reportedly full-time deal to become a pro wrestler with WWE, making her surprise debut at Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Rousey is one of the most popular combat sports athletes of all time and a legitimate household name – even bigger than Universal Champion Brock Lesnar – so naturally her signing with WWE has brought the company a ridiculous amount of mainstream media exposure. WWE has naturally cashed in on the buzz, recapping her arrival on Monday Night RAW while calling it “the moment you’ve ALL been talking about.”

Apparently a few members of the WWE women’s roster did not take kindly to this statement, since prior to Ronda walking the entrance ramp on Sunday the ladies of both RAW and Smackdown made history in the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match. Both Nia Jax and Nikki Bella, who made a surprise return in this weekend’s historic bout, sarcastically responded to the company spending more time covering Ronda Rousey than the 30 women who competed on Sunday night.
