LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The NFCA is proud to announce the 187 players chosen for the 2018 NFCA NAIA All-Region softball teams.
The squad is comprised of two 16-player teams in each of the country’s six regions, with the exception of Region II, which has 11 on its second team this season.
Four schools placed six players on their respective All-Region team, led by top-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College in Region I and No. 2 Oklahoma City University in Region II. Fifth-ranked University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma (IV) and No. 17 Faulkner (I) were the others.
Those with five players selected were Aquinas College (V), Campbellsville University (VI), Grand View University (V), Indiana Wesleyan University (VI), Marian University (VI) and Vanguard College of California (III).
Seven schools placed four players each on their All-Region team, while 12 others had three, 22 had two, and 25 schools had one player chosen.
All-Region players are nominated and selected by NFCA member coaches in each of the six NAIA regions. The NFCA NAIA All-America team will be announced online at NFCA.org on June 6.
