A fire broke out in the Bronx neighbourhood of New York, just days after another residential fire killed 12 people.
The blaze ripped through a four-story building housing a furniture shop and apartments leaving more than a dozen people injured.
The fire broke out in the Van Nest neighbourhood at around 5.30am with more than 200 firefighters tackling the blaze for two hours in below freezing temperatures.
It comes less than a week after another blaze in the same area killed 12 people – the city’s deadliest residential fire in almost 30 years.
At least sixteen people have been injured in Tuesday’s fire, including nine children, according to CBS New York.

None of the injuries are considered life threatening.
It is unclear what caused the fire, but it is thought to have started in the furniture store located on the ground floor.
Smoke and flames could be seen reaching the top floor as firefighters smashed windows to reach people trapped inside their flats.

The bitterly cold weather also made tackling the fire more difficult, with icicles forming on power lines in front of the building.
Residents described being woken in the early hours, with one woman banging on her neighbours’ doors to alert them in time to evacuate.
One resident told ABC 13: "I woke up my husband, my kids and said listen there’s a fire in the building. By the time we opened the door in the hallway, there was black smoke."
Firefighters took almost three hours to control the blaze and are still working to secure the building.
