Netflix has conjured up 16 new episodes of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which will air in two parts, similar to how Netflix split the show’s initial 20 episode order. Instead of differentiating the episodes as “Season 3” and “Season 4,” “Part 3” and “Part 4” will begin production in 2019. The show’s previously announced “Part 2” will premiere on April 5, 2019.
In a statement, creator and executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said of the news: “Praise Satan! I’m so grateful to my partners at Warner Brothers, Netflix, Berlanti Television, and Archie Productions for supporting this darker vision of the world’s most famous teen witch. And I’m thrilled to be continuing to tell Sabrina’s chilling adventures with our incredible cast and crew, led by the unstoppable Kiernan Shipka.”
The show will welcome two new characters in the next batch of episodes: Jedidiah Goodacre as Dorian Gray, and Alexis Denisof as Mary Wardwell’s boyfriend, Adam Masters. The series stars Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen, Lachlan Watson, and Gavin Leatherwood.

Batman: The Animated Series – "Christmas with the Joker"

This animated incarnation of Batman is easily one of the best adaptations, and by embracing the campiness of the '60s show and the gothic merriment of Batman Returns they wound up with some seriously great Christmas episodes too. Our favorite is this Joker-centric holiday special which saw Batman and Robin having to hunt down the Joker after he escapes from Arkham Asylum on a rocket hidden in the notorious institution's giant Christmas tree. Filled with holiday cheer, teddy bears, and even a number from The Nutcracker, there's nothing quite as wonderful as this festive caper through Gotham City.”,”height”:720,”width”:1280,”url”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/christmas-with-the-joker-1544485687613.jpg”,”styleUrl”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/christmas-with-the-joker-1544485687613_{size}.jpg”,”credit”:””,”objectRelationName”:””,”objectRelationUrl”:””,”albumName”:”10 of the Best Holiday TV Episodes Ever”,”relativePosition”:”02″,”albumTotalCount”:11},{“caption”:”
American Horror Story: Asylum – "Unholy Night"

Horror and Christmas go together like mince pies and brandy butter, so it was no surprise when during their sophomore season American Horror Story produced one of the creepiest Christmas specials ever. Starring Ian McShane as a Santa suit-wearing spree killer, his arrival shakes up the titular asylum as the prisoners and attendants alike try to survive the festive season and the new arrival. It's suitably horrible and not for the fainthearted, but perfect for those who like a Fright Christmas.”,”height”:0,”width”:0,”url”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/american-horror-story-unholy-night-1544485687601.png”,”styleUrl”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/american-horror-story-unholy-night-1544485687601_{size}.png”,”credit”:””,”objectRelationName”:””,”objectRelationUrl”:””,”albumName”:”10 of the Best Holiday TV Episodes Ever”,”relativePosition”:”03″,”albumTotalCount”:11},{“caption”:”
Community – "Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas"

Every Christmas needs some stop-motion, and luckily for all of us Community created this brilliant Rankin/Bass-inspired special eight years ago. A surprisingly thoughtful and moving entry on our list, the usually brash comedy took on friendship, mental health, and family as Abed faces the most important Christmas ever with his best friends. Heavily pulling from Christmas classics like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman, this is a great subversive pick that still keeps the holiday spirit alive.”,”height”:1080,”width”:1915,”url”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/abeds-uncontrollable-christmas-1544485687587.jpg”,”styleUrl”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/abeds-uncontrollable-christmas-1544485687587_{size}.jpg”,”credit”:””,”objectRelationName”:””,”objectRelationUrl”:””,”albumName”:”10 of the Best Holiday TV Episodes Ever”,”relativePosition”:”04″,”albumTotalCount”:11},{“caption”:”
He-Man & She-Ra: A Christmas Special

Swords, sandals, and Christmas?? Yep, this awesomely strange festive special sees He-Man, Man at Arms, and Orko attempting to build a spy satellite to keep their eyes on Skeletor. Alas, as usual Orko messes up, getting inside the contraption, and after an attack by the Big Bad ends up crashing to Earth where he meets two children who teach him about Christmas. Even Skeletor gets caught up in the festive spirit and shockingly ends up as the hero of this particular episode after saving the kids from a terrifying threat.”,”height”:1309,”width”:1600,”url”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/he-man-and-she-ra-a-christmas-special-1544485687619.jpg”,”styleUrl”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/he-man-and-she-ra-a-christmas-special-1544485687619_{size}.jpg”,”credit”:””,”objectRelationName”:””,”objectRelationUrl”:””,”albumName”:”10 of the Best Holiday TV Episodes Ever”,”relativePosition”:”05″,”albumTotalCount”:11},{“caption”:”
Black Mirror – "White Christmas"

If you like your Christmas bleak then Black Mirror has the ideal episode for you. When two men wake up in a remote outpost surrounded by snow, they begin to share their stories, how they got there, what they do, and of course it's all wrapped up with a technological twist. Starring Jon Hamm and Rafe Spall, this is an exceedingly creepy and ultimately shocking offering from creator Charlie Brooker that includes among other things: murder, clones, broken hearts, and, as is the way with Black Mirror, some too close to be comfortable commentary on the state of society.”,”height”:1080,”width”:1920,”url”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/black-mirror-white-christmas-1544485687603.jpg”,”styleUrl”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/black-mirror-white-christmas-1544485687603_{size}.jpg”,”credit”:””,”objectRelationName”:””,”objectRelationUrl”:””,”albumName”:”10 of the Best Holiday TV Episodes Ever”,”relativePosition”:”06″,”albumTotalCount”:11},{“caption”:”
Buffy the Vampire Slayer – "Amends"

In a very Buffy twist on A Christmas Carol, this story sees Angel revisited by all of the people that he killed during the festive season. This cheery scenario is down to an ancient force known as the First Evil which is attempting to torment poor old Angelus into killing his beloved. As the Scooby Gang get ready for Christmas they balance their festive cheer with trying to understand what's happening to Angel, especially when he starts to get into Buffy's head… literally. It's great if you like a bit of creep with your Christmas viewing — but still want a smattering of snow.”,”height”:900,”width”:1600,”url”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/buffy-amends-1544485687610.jpg”,”styleUrl”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/buffy-amends-1544485687610_{size}.jpg”,”credit”:””,”objectRelationName”:””,”objectRelationUrl”:””,”albumName”:”10 of the Best Holiday TV Episodes Ever”,”relativePosition”:”07″,”albumTotalCount”:11},{“caption”:”
Parks and Recreation – "Citizen Knope"

This heartfelt holiday episode sees Leslie dealing with her suspension from the Parks Department and not doing a very good job of it. It's a wonderful Leslie-centric story that focuses on our protagonist starting a citizen action group to fight the powers that be whilst she's stripped of hers. Unendingly hilarious, the action all comes to a head when her coworkers create the most magical Christmas gift ever for their passionate leader. If you want to get cozy and appreciate the gift of friendship, then this sweet treat is the perfect choice.”,”height”:900,”width”:1600,”url”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/parks-and-rec-citizen-knope-1544485687633.jpg”,”styleUrl”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/parks-and-rec-citizen-knope-1544485687633_{size}.jpg”,”credit”:””,”objectRelationName”:””,”objectRelationUrl”:””,”albumName”:”10 of the Best Holiday TV Episodes Ever”,”relativePosition”:”08″,”albumTotalCount”:11},{“caption”:”
The X-Files – "How The Ghosts Stole Christmas"

Pretty much every show that you love has a Christmas episode, and this X-Files offering is one of the most fun to ever grace our screens. When Mulder calls Scully on Christmas demanding that she go with him to a haunted house so he can show her something, she leaves her family and heads off. Once there the pair have to not only face down a couple of depressed spirits who killed each other in the home long ago, but the two FBI agents also begin to come to terms with their own relationship as the specters try to convince the pair to commit a copycat killing.”,”height”:480,”width”:853,”url”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/x-files-how-the-ghosts-stole-christmas-1544485687638.jpg”,”styleUrl”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/x-files-how-the-ghosts-stole-christmas-1544485687638_{size}.jpg”,”credit”:””,”objectRelationName”:””,”objectRelationUrl”:””,”albumName”:”10 of the Best Holiday TV Episodes Ever”,”relativePosition”:”09″,”albumTotalCount”:11},{“caption”:”
The Simpsons – "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire"

It might seem strange but the first episode of the iconic animated show was actually a Christmas special, and is still one of the best ever offerings from The Simpsons' 30 seasons (so far). It tells the story of a holiday season thrown into chaos by an unexpected tattoo removal and Mister Burns' refusal to give Homer a Christmas bonus. Driven to despair, Homer heads to the dog races and, hoping to save the holiday, he bets everything on an underdog called Santa's Little Helper. Though the dog loses the race, the family gains a new member, Christmas is saved, and the world gained a new cultural phenomenon.”,”height”:720,”width”:1280,”url”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/simpsons-roasting-on-an-open-fire-1544485687636.jpg”,”styleUrl”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/simpsons-roasting-on-an-open-fire-1544485687636_{size}.jpg”,”credit”:””,”objectRelationName”:””,”objectRelationUrl”:””,”albumName”:”10 of the Best Holiday TV Episodes Ever”,”relativePosition”:10,”albumTotalCount”:11},{“caption”:”
Invader Zim – "The Most Horrible X-Mas Ever"

The perfect mix of naughty and nice, this is our only entry that begins 2 million years in the future, and it's also one of our funniest. Jhonen Vasquez' cult classic cartoon is one of the most underrated of the '00s and this wild holiday special is a perfect example of its twisted genius. When Zim realizes that humans will do anything for Santa — including giving him a lot of money — he decides to become the mythical man by creating a blow up AI suit that gives him all the worldly knowledge of Santa. But as is so often the way for Zim, the plan goes horribly wrong when the suit gains sentience and Zim has to save the world he's been trying so hard to conquer.”,”height”:771,”width”:1037,”url”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/invader-zim-the-most-horrible-x-mas-ever-1544485687621.jpg”,”styleUrl”:”https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2018/12/10/invader-zim-the-most-horrible-x-mas-ever-1544485687621_{size}.jpg”,”credit”:””,”objectRelationName”:””,”objectRelationUrl”:””,”albumName”:”10 of the Best Holiday TV Episodes Ever”,”relativePosition”:11,”albumTotalCount”:11}]’
