If rumors are to be believed, it looks like several stars from Ring of Honor are going to be coming over to WWE later on this year. On the recent set of NXT tapings, the news broke that Bobby Fish made his WWE debut for NXT when he lost an upcoming match to Aleister Black. Fish may become a full-time NXT Superstar very soon, but it’s being said that it will probably be after former ROH star Kyle O’Reilly has joined the company. O’Reilly and Fish worked in a tag team together known as ReDRagon, and they are expected to reform the team once they become part of the NXT roster. They are not the only Ring of Honors stars that are rumored to be coming over soon either.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter now reports that the War Machine tag team will be joining NXT as well soon. War Machine consists of ROH stars Hanson and Raymond Rowe, and they will likely be staying together as a tag team. The two of them have won the ROH World Tag Team Championships on one occasion, and could be a great fit for the NXT tag team division, which has been left with a void ever since the main roster promotion of The Revival, as well as the breakup of #DIY. Raymond and Hanson are still listed as Ring of Honor employees though, so it may take a little bit longer for them to officially jump ship to WWE, but the company is also eyeing other talent from the promotion.
The report also mentions that Adam Cole is still expected to join the company, probably starting off in NXT where he will be promoted as one of their main event stars. Cole has been on WWE’s radar for a while now, and he could be making his debut at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III, but that is merely speculation at this point in time. Now we know that Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, Adam Cole, Hanson, and Raymond Rowe are expected to join WWE soon. Those talents should hopefully be able to breathe new life into the NXT brand as stars like Asuka, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, and others are bound to be inevitably promoted to the main roster in the future.
