One of the top matches set for the Double or Nothing event later this month is Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega. The two of them have a history together and have been feuding for years. Their first match took place at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom show back in 2018, and it received acclaim from fans at the time. The match also saw Omega emerge as the winner. The highly-anticipated rematch will be taking place during All Elite Wrestling’s debut show, but the two wrestling superstars could not help but give fans a taste of what’s to come. Both of the AEW roster members just crashed an indie show and brawled with each other weeks before their scheduled match at the Double or Nothing show.
Last night @IAmJericho made his presence known in our main event…and just as quickly @KennyOmegamanX stopped him in his tracks! https://t.co/3AFvaJQ4Ni

During last night’s Southern Honor Wrestling event last night in Canton, Georgia, fans were shocked to see Omega and Jericho make unannounced appearances. Jericho made his presence felt first before Omega eventually decided to interrupt him. After the melee, Omega thanked the fans in attendance and said that it was because of them that the rise of AEW is possible. Jericho and Omega weren’t the only AEW roster members in attendance yesterday either. AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes also came down to the ring with his dog Pharaoh. Jericho and Omega won’t face off until Double or Nothing on May 25th, so there is still plenty of other opportunities for them to make more surprise indie wrestling cameos.

Glenn Jacobs (aka WWE in-ring veteran Kane) has not made a whole lot of appearances for WWE as of late, but that is because he has been busy working as the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. Jacobs continues to work for the people of Knox County, and he even got dunked underwater yesterday for a good cause. This past Friday, Jacobs sat on a dunk tank as citizens took turns trying to send the former world champion into the cold tub of water below him. It was all done to help raise money for the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Jacobs has not wrestled since he and The Undertaker lost to DX at Crown Jewel last fall. A quick video of Jacobs getting dunked can be seen in the tweet posted down below:
