SHOREWOOD — The Shorewood Police Department continues to make more arrests of late in connection with allegations of domestic violence. The latest police call happened late Tuesday night, resulting in the arrest of 51-year-old Shorewood resident Robert Brandolino.
Brandolino comes from the 400 block of Garden Terrace. He was booked into his jail cell around 1:35 a.m. Wednesday. As of noon Thursday, Brandolino remained in custody.
Brandolino has been charged by the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office with seven crimes. His charges include aggravated domestic battery, four counts of domestic battery and two counts of aggravated assault involving a deadly weapon.

Shorewood Deputy Police Chief Eric Allen told Joliet Patch that his agency responded to the home around 10 p.m. Tuesday for a domestic disturbance involving a loaded gun, and the officers found Brandolino outside in the driveway.
During an argument with the victim, Brandolino retrieved a loaded gun, which was a pistol with a flashlight mounted to it, Allen said. Brandolino pressed the gun against the woman’s forehead while arguing with her, Allen noted.
At one point, when the victim turned to flee, Brandolino struck the woman in the back of her head with his gun, which caused the woman’s head to split open, police said. She later went to Edward Emergency Center in Plainfield to receive stitches to close her wound, Allen said.
Allen said the woman’s head injuries suffered in Tuesday night’s attack are not believed to be life-threatening.
