Gator Discovers There's 'No Swimming' For Reptiles In Clearwater Pools

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater Police Officer Kyle Bingham, like all the Clearwater police, have occasionally been called in to pinch hit as gator wranglers when the reptiles wander into neighborhoods and downtown streets in their pursuit of mates.

Bingham single-handedly captured this juvenile gator that was intent on taking a dip in a neighborhood pool in the 2800 block of Saber Drive in the Countryside area. The 5 1/2-foot-long critter was released into a Lake Chautauqua where there are no restrictions for gators seeking a swim.
