Stand back Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, you’ve been dethroned at the top of 2018’s hottest celebrity break-up list. John Cena and Nikki Bella have officially parted ways after nearly six years of dating, breaking the news to US Weekly earlier this weekend.

The WWE power couple got engaged one year ago in the most public way humanly possible – in the middle of the ring at WrestleMania 33 in front of more than 75,000 of their closest friends and family. Still, it’s a widely known fact that the two spend very little time together, something that’s constantly addressed on Nikki’s hit reality series Total Bellas.

In the last year alone the 16-time world champion has filmed scenes for five different movies and two long-form television specials, hosted multiple awards ceremonies, conducted hundreds of interviews on top of occasionally performing on WWE television and pay-per-view. Nikki has also kept herself busy since hanging up the wrestling boots, competing on the 25th season of Dancing With The Stars, establishing a clothing line with her sister and acted as Executive Producer on her own TV show.

In an interview with Steve Harvey in March, Nikki spoke about almost calling off her engagement, shortly after John appeared on Today to discuss the challenges of their relationship, insisting that they had worked it out and were still together. The decision to split must have come recently though, because the two were making appearances together over the last few weeks and even wrestled a match together at Madison Square Garden last month.
