Breaking News: Brock Lesnar Reportedly Confirmed for Main Event Title Match at WWE SummerSlam

According to Dave Meltzer at F4WOnline.com, Brock Lesnar has been confirmed for this year’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

The “Beast Incarnate” is set to defend the WWE Universal Championship for the first time since the Greatest Royal Rumble in April, in what will likely be the final bout left on his contract, but at this point his opponent has not been decided. Originally Roman Reigns was slated for the spot, and that still may end up happening, but currently nothing is official.

As noted, Lesnar recently reentered the USADA testing pool and will be clear to make his return to the UFC octagon on January 8th. It was also reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter earlier today that Vince McMahon himself barred all mention of Brock’s name from this past week’s edition of WWE Raw, as he will not be featured at Extreme Rules this weekend and they want to create the idea that he has walked out on the company to focus on his UFC return.
