Batista Returning Soon? Rumble Favorites, Lynch Return Update

Batista has established himself as an actor in Hollywood ever since he parted ways with WWE. He made a brief return to the ring back in 2014, but the former WWE Champion has not competed in a ring ever since. Batista has admitted in countless interviews that he still loves wrestling and love be open to coming back, but only if he is given a full time schedule and can work a WrestleMania match against Triple H. Per the Wrestling Observer, there is talk about possibly bringing “The Animal” back very soon for a six month run. Much like Goldberg’s recent WWE run, it is rumored that Batista’s next return to WWE will be done to close out his wrestling career.
The male performers of WWE will be engaging in a 30-man Royal Rumble match as usual in Philadelphia next month. Fans have already started speculating who could be the one man to win the match and go on to fight world a world title at WrestleMania, but Paddy Power may have helped provide an answer. The website currently has John Cena slotted as the favorite to win the match with 9/4 odds. Roman Reigns is currently the next favorite, followed by Shinsuke Nakamura. This does not necessarily mean that Cena is going to win the match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, but a win would tie the 16-time world champion with Stone Cold Steve Austin for the record of most Royal Rumble match wins at 3 apiece.
Several WWE Superstars have been away for the past few weeks as they have been filming material for the brand new Marine 6 movie. The Miz stars in the film as usual, and he will be joined by Smackdown’s Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels in this new film. It was recently confirmed that filming had wrapped for the Marine 6. Cageside Seats has reported that Becky Lynch is already expected to be back in the ring at the next Smackdown show. Lynch was written off of television when the Riott Squad debuted by attacking her in the backstage area. In 2018, Lynch will definitely be coming back to get her revenge on the trio.
