Backstage Update on Nia Jax’s WWE Status

As we noted yesterday, a rumor has been making the rounds online that WWE star Nia Jax “walked out” of Raw this week, which is why she was not featured on the show. That rumor was shot down by a Pro Wrestling Sheet report, which added Jax has been granted a leave of absence from the company for reasons unknown at this time.

PWInsider.com is now confirming the rumor of Jax walking out on WWE is untrue, however she was not at Raw this week despite being previously scheduled to appear on the show. The report furthers that original plans for Raw this week were to setup a likely match between Jax and Sasha Banks at WWE TLC, however that match was changed to Banks vs Alicia Fox after Jax was granted her leave.

Additionally, PWInsider is reporting Nia Jax will not be filming any new content at this time for the next season of “Total Divas”. Jax has already filmed content for the show, and was scheduled to continue filming in New York City tomorrow and Friday, but she has been pulled from all WWE dates in the foreseeable future, and is currently not on the road with WWE.
