Wisdom, a Layasan albatross is at least 68-year-old and was recently spotted with her long-time lover and is set to give birth. US biologists have confirmed that she has laid an egg and the news has been received with much joy.
Wisdom recently returned to her traditional nesting site at Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge and is likely to have mated with her old boyfriend Akeakamai, according to the US Fish and Wildlife Service Pacific Region.
