WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar recently returned to his alma matter at the University of Minnesota. The Beast Incarnate spent some time on the mats working out with freshman star Gable Stevenson. Stevenson is currently the No.1 ranked heavyweight in the country, boasting a record of 20-0.
Lesnar is far removed from his days as a two-time All-American and NCAA heavyweight champion. But it’s obvious that he has definitely not forgotten who he is and where he came from, as this workout session was a chance for him to get back to his roots.
Lesnar is currently booked to defend the Universal Championship against Finn Bálor at The Royal Rumble on January 27. Many WWE fans likely believe that Lesnar will once again retain the title, but Finn’s career has heated up as of late. It could be that the first-ever Universal champ will once again win the strap.

Brock seemed to be heading back to the UFC in 2019. But that has not happened thus far. Lesnar signed a new contract with WWE in 2018 and that deal may, or may not, prevent him from working in the UFC any time soon.
Lesnar caused a stir last year when he stormed the Octagon and shoved UFC champion Daniel Cormier. Cormier wants to fight Lesnar and Brock seems to want the same. But only time will tell if the fight actually becomes a reality.
