Mustafa Ali has had a pretty incredible year, all things considered.

After making a surprise move up from the 205 Live roster he immediately made an impact with the fans, drawing them in in a series of excellent matches on Smackdown Live that would actually land him in the world title picture unexpectedly.

An unfortunate injury would take him right back out of that title picture, setting the stage for Kofi Kingston’s big WWE Championship victory at WrestleMania, but Ali has made it very clear that he’s not going to stop until he gets himself back in a position to win the gold.

You absolutely need to see the Chicago stars promo from Tuesday night’s Smackdown Live. With WWE shaking up a good deal of their programming this week, it looks like Ali may have dropped the whole “wandering the city streets fighting crime as a vigilante” gimmick for something a bit more realistic and straightforward.
