TNT President Kevin Reilly recently spoke with Variety, where he discussed AEW joining the network, claiming that it could be the sleeper hit they’ve been looking for.

“All Elite Wrestling (AEW)” is going to be a sleeper. It’s very counter-intuitive to launch a new league at the height of the WWE. But I have a lot of reasons why it makes sense where the opportunity is. We’re not taking down the WWE but I think this is going to be surprising.”

It is clear that TNT are confident in AEW as a product moving forward, as they have done serious advertising for the brand on the network including during the NBA Playoffs in anticipation of Double or Nothing earlier in the summer.
