In a video released Thursday morning, All Elite Wrestling management including Cody Rhodes officially announced the signing of veteran wrestler and commentator, Taz.

The ECW legend has previously appeared at the broadcast booth for episodes of AEW DARK and Dynamite, and of course was a long-time commentator for Impact Wrestling and WWE Smackdown.

At this time there has been no additional details released as to what Taz’s full-time role will be going forward. The weekly Dynamite team already features Jim Ross, Excalibur and Tony Schiavone, while the weekly DARK crew generally features Excalibur with a rotating panel of guests.

Taz noted on Twitter that his podcast will be put on hold “for quite some time”.
