Wednesday’s MLW Fusion saw the first match for the January 6th Kings of Colosseum show announced as Middleweght Champion Myron Reed will defend against the debuting Lio Rush in their first ever meeting.
The two have been doing promos on each other for several weeks since MLW’s relaunch with Rush suggesting they go to battle at Colosseum instead of December which Reed initially suggested. This will mark Rush’s in-ring debut for MLW while Reed opened up the Fusion relaunch with a successful title defense over Brian Pillman Jr.
In other MLW news:
Following a surprise attack on the aforementioned Fusion relaunch episode, National Openweight Champion Alexander Hammerstone challenged Mads Krugger of CONTRA Unit to a match at Colosseum. Hammerstone is scheduled for action next week against an opponent to be named.
Low Ki advanced to the finals of the 2020 Opera Cup with a win over Richard Holliday Wednesday. He will face the winner of next week’s “Filthy” Tom Lawlor vs. ACH semifinal with the finals likely for the Colosseum event.
