WWE Superstars The Miz and Maryse recently took part in a photoshoot for DUB Magazine.
As part of the magazine feature, “The Most Must See Champion In WWE History” spoke about walking in — and out — of WrestleMania 27 as WWE Champion.
As The Miz noted, the best part wasn’t his entrance or winning and retaining his title against John Cena, it was seeing his childhood friends in attendance watching him live out his dream.
“The coolest moment about being in that ring in the main event at WrestleMania wasn’t my entrance,” Miz told DUB Magazine. “It wasn’t even holding the title in my hand.”
Miz continued, “I don’t really remember that. The coolest moment was looking over to my left and seeing all my friends from high school that were in my living room in 1999 watching WrestleMania. Looking over at them in the front row and saying, ‘We did it.'”
