Details on Paul Heyman's Recent Duties; More on WWE Wanting to Lock Him Down

— The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that prior to signing Paul Heyman as the new head of WWE Raw, Vince McMahon was attempting to “lock Heyman down” for a lengthy contract – both due to the emergence of AEW and because they were very interested in retaining his services for the long term.

— Up until now, Heyman had been working Raw shows and PPVs (and recently Smackdown too), handling creative aspects of key projects that were largely related to Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey and their opponents. However, a lot of the talent would come to him for advice and he is generally very well respected backstage for being a “creative genius” and being up-to-date on everyone and everything.
