Ford is upset with John Cena after he allegedly flipped his new 2017 Ford GT for $500,000. Ford says that flipping the car is a violation of their contract with him and they are taking him to court.
TMZ got a copy of the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in Michigan and it states that Cena “selected from thousands of applicants for the opportunity to purchase the Ford GT.”
According to Ford, Cena signed a deal in which he would agree to hold onto the car for at least 2 years. Cena, according to Ford, flipped the car for a big profit soon after it was given to him. Ford says that “Mr. Cena has unfairly made a large profit from the unauthorized resale flip of the vehicle, and Ford has suffered additional damages and losses, including, but not limited to, loss of brand value, ambassador activity, and customer goodwill due to the improper sale.”
They want all of the profit he made from the sale and compensation from other damages. The lawsuit says that Cena told them that he sold the car to pay bills.
