Freshman Darick Vancura (Fr., 165 lbs) came up empty in his bid to reach the NCAA Championships as he fell to the University of Mary’s Brock Krum by a 14-6 major decision. Vancura was the lone Maverick still competing on day two of the NCAA Division II Super Region 3 Tournament.

This is the first time since the 1984-85 season that no MSU wrestler has advanced to the national tournament.

The Mavericks finished their 2013-14 season with a 3-9 record, including a 3-5 record in NSIC competition.
