ROH & Bellator
Jay Lethal retained his ROH title against Jay Briscoe in their Best In The World rematch last night. The show featured a physical Dalton Castle vs. Bobby Fish TV title match, as well as the return of Kevin Sullivan during the BJ Whitmer/Steve Corino fight without honor match. Here’s the full results.
An out of shape Rampage Jackson returned to action for Bellator Friday night and earned a gift split decision victory over Satoshi Ishii in the main event of the Dynamite 2 show. The real highlight of the show was Michael Chandler turning the lights out on Patricky Pitbull in the first round to regain his lightweight title. Rampage Jackson won his fifth straight fight. It was a somewhat controversial decision as media members were split down the middle.
Also coming off the Bellator show, Matt Mitrione will be fighting again in just 3 weeks against Oli Thompson on the London Show July 16th. Mitrione scored a first round KO last night but was in serious trouble in the opening minute and in the post-fight interview said he didn’t remember being knocked down or anything that happened immediately after that.
