Lita Returning at Evolution, AOP’s New Manager, Marufuji in WWE?

Stephanie McMahon originally announced that over fifty women would be featured on the upcoming all-women’s Evolution pay-per-view, and it has already been announced that WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will be facing Alexa Bliss during the show. It looks like Trish’s former rival and fellow Hall of Famer, Lita, will also be getting in on the fun. WWE has confirmed that Lita will be returning to action once again during the Evolution show for a match against Raw’s Mickie James. This will mark the second time that Lita has competed for WWE this year as she also took part in the women’s Royal Rumble match back in January. These two former Women’s Champions will do battle on October 28th.

Akam and Rezar achieved great levels of success with WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering by their sides during their time in NXT. After going on an undefeated streak and holding the NXT Tag Team Championships, The Authors of Pain were both promoted to WWE’s main roster earlier this year, but WWE decided against keeping Ellering as their manager. The Authors of Pain have been competing with no manager on Raw lately, but they have just enlisted the guidance of Drake Maverick. The 205 Live General Manager led the AOP to the ring on Raw last night as they defeated a local tag team. After the match, Maverick promised the crowd in Columbus, Ohio that Akam and Rezar would become future Raw Tag Team Champions.

205 Live Superstar Hideo Itami recently received the chance to wrestle for the Pro Wrestling NOAH promotion in Japan. Itami returned to the promotion where he made a name for himself to compete on the promotion’s 20th anniversary show this past weekend, and Itami was defeated by Japanese legend Naomichi Marufuji during the show. Interestingly, Marufuji did an interview with Tokyo Sports wherein he thanked WWE for allowing Itami to compete on the show, and he also said that he is not opposed to the idea of potentially coming into WWE someday himself. He said that if the company ever came to him with an offer to wrestle one match that he would absolutely be able to make that work.
