Shilson earns runner-up finish at Body Bar Women’s Nationals

Minnesota Storm wrestler Emily Shilson finished as Body Bar Women’s Nationals UWW Cadet National runner-up on Sunday to make the US Pan Am Championship team. She will represent the USA at 46 kgs when the team competes in Lima, Peru from June 30-July 3.

Shilson pinned a returning World Team Member Mckayla Campbell (5th at Worlds last year) in the semifinals and pinned 2015 Cadet World silver medalist Alleida Martinez in the best two out of three series final. However, she lost the series two matches to one to finish as the runner-up.

Shilson will spend eight days prior to the tournament training at the US Training Camp in Atlanta.
