ROH has revealed some of the details for the G1 Supercard pre-show.
The pre-show will begin at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday, April 6, leading into the main card starting at 7:30 p.m. The pre-show will feature an Honor Rumble match, with wrestlers from ROH and NJPW taking part in it. Further information on entrants for the match has yet to be announced.
ROH noted that “more action for the pre-show will be announced soon.”
Honor Rumbles are Royal Rumble-style battle royals where entrants join the match at time intervals. This will be the eighth Honor Rumble that ROH has put on and the first since Frankie Kazarian won an Honor Rumble in August 2017.
G1 Supercard is taking place at Madison Square Garden and will air live on HonorClub and New Japan World.
Jay White defending the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against the winner of the New Japan Cup, IWGP Tag Team Champions Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa vs. ROH Tag Team Champions The Briscoes with both sets of titles on the line, and Taiji Ishimori defending his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship against Dragon Lee and Bandido in a triple threat match have been announced for the G1 Supercard main card.
The Briscoes are also set to defend their Tag Team titles against PCO & Brody King at next Friday’s ROH 17th Anniversary pay-per-view.
