Destiny 2: Bungie Lowers Power Requirements for the Black Armory

Bungie has dropped the Power requirements for the Lost Forges following player feedback.

Destiny 2’s Black Armory mini expansion went live this week, and despite only being live for a couple of days, the devs have already implemented an update based on player feedback that will see the Power requirements for the Lost Forges decreased by five.

“Over the past day, we’ve been taking in your feedback. It’s become clear that we made the initial Power requirements for the Lost Forges too high, keeping those sweet new rewards out of reach,” read the update. “Some players at 600 Power have been unable to dive in and beat the final boss without grinding for new Power first.”

“We have just delivered a server-side update to reduce the Power requirements for all the encounters in the Lost Forges by five. We fully acknowledge that this is a small move, but it is the one that we can make today. This is not the full extent of the changes to the player experience that we are investigating, but it should give Guardians at 600 Power a better chance at completing the activity.”

The expansion rolled out new exotic items, as well as the ability for players to increase their power levels. In regards to the story, players are sent to reignite four forges that were lost during the Golden Age. Successfully beating the forge will unlock new weapons from the Black Armory.

Some players have been asking Bungie about how they catch up and attain the Power needed to participate in the new Lost Forges quests.

Bungie has responded by saying that it has “some existing plans and some new ideas in the pipeline” that will answer these questions, so expect more on that in a future update.

This isn’t the first time the power requirements were too high in Destiny 2, as The Last Wish raid was only completed by 18 Guardians in 24 hours and two minutes.
