According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, OH Leuven winger Mousa Al-Tamari has been approached by two European clubs this winter.
The Jordanian has been contacted by Ligue 1’s FC Nantes, with whom an agreement has not been reached, and Turkish side Kasımpaşa S.K. No deal has yet been announced. He visited Turkey this week to visit Kasımpaşa’s training facilities.

Nantes would not meet Leuven’s asking price of €1m, which may open the door for a move to Turkey for the former APOEL Nicosia player. The French side are thought to have Al-Tamari’s favour, but as Les Canaris have failed to reach an agreement with Leuven, an agreement in January looks unlikely. The player is, therefore, likely to see out the end of his contract and move in the summer.
Nantes, current Coupe de France champions, may have a trump card if time is of the essence: they still have European football to play this season, with an upcoming Europa League fixture against a demoralised Juventus side on the horizon in February. Juventus were recently docked 15 points in Serie A for their involvement in the capital gains transfer saga, which saw them drop from second place to 10th in the Italian top flight.
Al-Tamari has already flirted with European football during his time in Cyprus, when he participated in APOEL’s Champions League Qualifiers in 2018/19 and 2019/20. The Cypriots also took part in 2019/20’s Europa League campaign, who were eventually knocked out by FC Basel. If European football is a powerful card to play, then it is Nantes who hold the royal flush.
