Ben Affleck, age 44, has official declared himself a Swiftie. The father-of-three appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday and said that he’s learned a lot about the pop singer, thanks to 11-year-old daughter Violet.
“I’ve become an expert on the tweens. I don’t know how much Radio Disney you listen to, but I hear quite a bit. When we get in the car, it’s got to come on right away. It’s got to stay on the whole time,” he told the host.
“I hear a lot about the romantic adventures of Disney characters who are on the Disney channel. We go to Taylor Swift concerts, and that’s my life,” he said, adding, “Taylor Swift is great, by the way. She’s a great role model.”
But despite the apparent adoration, he isn’t well-versed in her musical repertoire. In a game of “Five Second Rule,” the actor couldn’t name one Swift song, never mind three. “1989, I Still Love You, the John Mayer thing … Come on!” he said as the timer ran out.
Swift isn’t the only star he gushed about: Affleck also addressed his three kids with Jennifer Garner, and apparently they’re a lot to handle. “I have the world’s greatest mom, but even she cannot conquer the obstacles there,” he joked.
