The web store of clothing company Diesel is celebrating its first birthday and increased its visits with 50% by going multi-lingual. The online store is now available in French, German and Spanish, besides American and British English. Since the Diesel e-commerce site launched in November 2007, the site received 200 million page-views, doubled in visits and sold over 300,000 items across the globe. This latest improvement will build on the site’s efficient service, layout and easy purchase process.
Renzo Rosso, President of Diesel, says: “I have always dreamed of a store where all my favourite products, which I select personally, are available at the same time. I am confident that this project will develop in the future not only as a store but also as a research and trend laboratory.”
The online store stocks items from all the Diesel lines including Diesel Black Gold, Diesel Kid and Diesel intimates. The online range is constantly updated, and 2009 will see the launch of a new denim guide to help visitors to purchase their perfect pair of jeans.

In the near future, Diesel is planning to merge both the real and virtual world. At selected Diesel stores customers will be able to shop ‘live’ – while also accessing the website via in-store PC stations. This way, when sizes are out of stock they will be delivered without shipping costs.
